Dr. Daniel Wiseman joins Division of General Internal Medicine

Dr. Daniel Wiseman has joined the JGH Division of General Internal Medicine, and will also practice in critical care medicine. In addition, he has been appointed Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University.

Dr. Wiseman received his M.D. from the University of Laval in 2018, followed by residencies in internal, general internal and critical care medicine at McGill, as well as a fellowship in critical-care ultrasound at the Montreal Heart Institute.

Earlier this year, he earned a Master’s degree in quality improvement at the University of Toronto, with a focus on improving the timeliness of discussing goals of care with critically ill patients. He plans to contribute his expertise to quality improvement initiatives at the JGH and McGill.

Dr. Wiseman will continue to advance the use of bedside ultrasound in in-patient and ambulatory care settings. He has also been named as the Chair of the Morbidity and Mortality Committee in the JGH Department of Medicine.
