Dr. Miruna Anohim joins JGH Division of Geriatrics

Dr. Miruna Anohim has joined the staff of the Division of Geriatrics at the JGH and has been appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at McGill University.

Dr. Anohim was a temporary member of staff in November 2023, when she and her colleagues on the hospital’s Geriatric Oncology team, were honoured with a 2023 Prix de cancérologie from the Programme québécois de cancérologie.

Subsequently, she completed a one-year fellowship in geriatric oncology at the Institut Bergonié in Bordeaux, France, and has now returned to the Senior Oncology Clinic at the JGH.

Dr. Anohim completed her undergraduate medical training at Université Laval, where she also pursued a three-year residency program in internal medicine. This was followed by a residency in geriatrics at McGill.

In addition to playing a key role in the development of the Senior Oncology Clinic, she will supervise and teach students, residents and fellows at all levels.
