Dr. Russell Frank joins Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Russell Frank has joined the staff of the JGH Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where he will focus on general obstetrics and benign gynecologic surgery, as well as accepting referrals from primary care providers and specialists.

Dr. Frank will lead a clinic in menopause and premature ovarian insufficiency. He will provide care for complex problems, including those related to menopausal hormone therapy and early menopause, as well as gynecologic care for women with a history of cancer.

His research interests include menopause assessment tools, the effects of hormone therapy on gastrointestinal conditions, and the genetics of premature ovarian insufficiency.

After earning his M.D. from McGill University in 2018, Dr. Frank remained at McGill for his residency in obstetrics and gynecology, followed by a fellowship in menopause and mature women’s health at the University of Toronto (Mount Sinai Hospital).

In June of this year, Dr. Frank became a Certified Menopause Practitioner, and in August, he received his Master of Science in aging and health from Queen’s University.
