From the archives: Mayor Jean Drapeau pays a visit

In March 1984, Montreal Mayor Jean Drapeau (right) unveiled a plaque marking the 50th anniversary of the Jewish General Hospital. President Herbert Siblin also showed him plans for a new western wing, now known as Pavilion E.

The Jewish General Hospital’s 85th anniversary is an ideal occasion to take a glimpse into the past. By remembering the extraordinary efforts of the hospital’s founders, supporters, staff and volunteers, we honour the enduring legacy of the JGH.
