New Chief of Volunteer and Pastoral Services

Joanne Laing has been appointed Chief of Volunteer and Pastoral Services for CIUSSS West-Central Montreal. Among her responsibilities will be to determine the placement of volunteers in numerous departments, clinics and offices throughout the healthcare network, including the “army” of more than 1,000 volunteers at the JGH.

In 2015, Ms. Laing received her Master’s degree in organizational management, with a focus on health care. Previously, she was the JGH Coordinator of Plant Facilities, and before joining the hospital in 2001, she spent 20 years working with volunteers and coordinating special events in the non-profit sector.
