Speech Therapist Nida Latif awarded a Prix Cardozo-Coderre

Nida Latif, a JGH Speech Therapist, has been awarded a Prix Cardozo-Coderre by the Order of Speech Therapists and Audiologists of Quebec to acknowledge the commitment she demonstrated for her chosen specialty while pursuing her education at McGill University.

Ms. Latif, one of six recipients of the Prix Cardozo-Coderre, was singled out for her extensive involvement as a volunteer at the Association québécoise des personnes aphasiques (Quebec Association for Persons with Aphasia) and at the Gold Centre in Montreal, which provides support for those with autism and developmental disabilities.

According to a statement by the Order, “she also distinguished herself by embodying positive leadership in all of her projects, especially while working with a team in two internships. Her talent for collaboration, combined with her professional and compassionate approach, were particularly evident.”

The Prix Cardozo-Coderre are presented each year—in collaboration with La Personnelle Insurance—to a graduate of every university program of speech therapy and audiology in Quebec, in order to recognize educational excellence.
