Summer pictures turn up the heat in staff photo competition

“A Shot of Happiness” returns for its third year

Photos by 55 employees from 15 facilities across CIUSSS West-Central Montreal were in the running for the top spots in the third annual edition of “A Shot of Happiness”, the healthcare network’s photography competition for staff.

Three winners and two runners-up were announced on November 7 by Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg, President and CEO of the CIUSSS, at the network’s Public Information Meeting at the JGH

Contributors were invited to submit photos on the theme of “The Rhythm of Summer in Montreal”, capturing the essence of the food, festivals, fireworks or other aspects of Montreal in summer.

The five-member jury, consisting of staffers from various CIUSSS facilities, looked for originality, freshness and the ability to make the viewer feel the season that the photos depict.

Pictures by the winners and many of the entrants will be on display in a travelling exhibit that will visit CIUSSS sites in 2019-2020.
