The expansion that the JGH has undergone during the first two decades of the 21st century would not have been possible without a pivotal event that took place on February 1, 2005: the purchase of land and buildings from Les Soeurs de St. Croix.

It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the sudden and tragic passing of Dr. Mark A. Wainberg, one of the world’s pre-eminent experts on HIV/AIDS and its treatment.

Now that the reorganization of Quebec’s public healthcare system is under way, former Presidents of the Jewish General Hospital are reassuring the hospital’s supporters that the JGH is protected by special measures in the new legislation.
