As The Auxiliary approaches its 80th anniversary, it continues to gain strength and vitality through the dedication, effort, energy, talent and creativity of its legion of volunteers, who have always been the bedrock of our organization.

Every day, numerous volunteers experience the satisfaction of “people helping people.” Their enthusiasm and dedication are intrinsic to sales outlets such as the Collectibles, Art and Antiquities Shop and the Milly Lande Gift Boutique, to hospital-wide services like the Mobile Food Cart and Book Cart, in the major events and sales that they help to organize, and much more.

The Auxiliary remains committed to supporting JGH healthcare programs, purchasing equipment, and ensuring that comfort and the essential personal touch are always priorities in patient care.

Snowbird Lunch and Lecture

Featured at the sixth and most recent Florida Snowbird Lunch and Lecture was guest lecturer Dr. Robert Watson, who explored the personal stories of America’s first ladies. This heavily attended event was once again sponsored by Past President Sheilah Greenberg and co-chaired by Eileen Fleischer and Arlene Yufe.

World Prematurity Day

The Auxiliary celebrated this worldwide annual event, raising awareness of pre-term births and the potential consequences to the babies and their families.
